Pencil crayons, about 7 or 8 hours. Done as a wedding gift for my cousin, because I'm cheap like that.
Edit October 2012 - with new title.
Some new information about the life and ahem, "good works" of Mother Teresa have been brought to my attention. I never took the time to think critically about the Missionaries of Charity but once you start digging, some real shit turns up.
Her good deeds? Her sisters gave substandard and inept medical care. She sadomasochistically refused anesthetics to the dying, preferring to have them suffer like Jesus, (because suffering is beautiful and brings you closer to God). She accepted donations and prizes ( a FORTUNE's worth)- but rather than go to building a proper hospital for the needy, it was hoarded away to bank accounts unknown. She vehemently opposed contraception and abortion, even in a country where such family planning measures are desperately needed. She was (and is) used as fundamentalist propaganda by the Vatican to bolster its image. She had her sisters baptize the dying without their informed consent.
And of course, the Vatican is trying to saint her. I'm sorry I did this miserable old bat's portrait. if I had the original I would destroy it.
nice!... Acually, I was about to start a pencil shaded version of the same and looking for some drawings, the wrinkles on her face scared me that how the hell am i gonna detail them...grt work btw..
It's not cheep, it's resourceful and fulfilling!
